Hello everyone! Sorry this is a bit late–been playing catch-up since Tuesday night’s book launch. It’s been such an exciting week! There was a great turnout at the Roanoke Public Library (thanks to everyone who came, it meant the world to me) and Wednesday morning’s talk at Steele Accelerated High School was so much fun!
Today, I want to start up #FairTradeFriday again to let you know about my efforts to raise money for International Justice Mission. First of all, if you haven’t heard of them, IJM is “a human rights agency that is bringing rescue and freedom to victims of slavery, sex trafficking and other forms of violence.” And for the next month, between now and April 23rd, I want to celebrate the release of Firebrand by raising $1000 for IJM to help them put an end to modern slavery. You can donate to the Firebrand Freedom Campaign here.
In addition to that, I’m donating $1 of every copy of Firebrand sold (online and in person) until the end of March (including pre-orders).
So help spread the word, and let’s be modern-day abolitionists!
